Uninvited
Nostalgia creeps up.
Knocking softly on the door,
It hears no answer,
But enters my domain.
Uninvited
It settles itself comfortably,
it has been here before.
Happiness sees the open door and joins
With pain at its heels.
They all converse for a while,
Enjoying each others company.
Happiness has to leave though,
He has somewhere to be
And can't be delayed.
I'm left with Pain and Nostalgia.
They face each other grudgingly,
Happiness is what kept them together.
Now that they are alone
They have room for Hate.
Who joins
making a group of three once again.
They converse maliciously,
with stinging words dripping with malice.
